this is my favourite party trick. i like to make them out of old bus tickets and receipts. i was at a rave the other day and i made one out of a tiny square of rizla card (pictured) and everyone loved it. bonus points if you can get the wings to flap when u pull the tail

pot making all the folds really crisp always helps!! idk if i can explain this well but folding the wings upwards a bit makes the flapping more noticeable. and being gentle with the tail pulling bc sometimes it can rip if u pull too hard :')

when people hear the word origami they usually think of paper cranes or something. that’s obviously where everybody starts but then you get deeper into it and discover a whole other world of it and there’s SO many different “types” of origami. i used to really be into whatever robert lang was making (physicist turned origami artist) cause he worked with NASA and shit. incredible. i attempted some more complex stuff like a 30 piece model but my issue was that i couldn’t find the patterns for the cool stuff :( but! i can now make a tiny paper crane out of a 1cm x 1cm piece of paper yay! used to be more into this when i was younger but i should totally get back into it… you should check out geometric origami it’s so cool!!!
edit: look!!! so cool!!!

i used to be sooooo into satsumas... i'd be that mf who brings a bag of satsumas to the function... but something has shifted this year. i think i had too many bad satsumas. a bad apple is manageable, it's inoffensive, you can make do. a bad satsuma however..... a bad satsuma can ruin my day. so i chose peace and switched to apples
