Barbara Stanwyck and Frank Capra were an amazing collaborative duo in the early 30s, this movie being maybe the saddest they made together. Beautiful performance and images.
HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!! i have been trying to get more into old films and doing a run of Henry Fonda flicks (love this man). this movie ROCKS. incredibly funny, it's film about yearning and doppelgangers and falling in love. Henry Fonda and Barbara Stanwyck are two of the most beautiful people ever to be put on a screen. Also just incredibly well directed, it's one of the best-shot movies I've seen. It's a perfect Valentine's Day movie!!
