i am always late to the game, specifically when it comes to popular/acclaimed tv series. my roommate and i live tweeted our first watch of GOT two years ago with the enthusiasm of someone who had just discovered the existence of television. people were mad. i thought it was fun!
im obsessed with doing this lately; i’ve never been good with watching shows that have finished/have a lot of seasons to get through because i have a short attention span. i tell everyone that i love the sopranos, but i’ve been on episode like, 12? of the first season for like, 9 months. 30 rock, the bear, veep… all shows that i started and really truly liked, and told everyone i know how much i liked them, but i haven’t watched an episode in weeks. and frankly, no one questions me!
I'm watching Sex and the City much like everyone else rn. I'm watching it for the first time actually. But it feels like everyone else is rewatching rn, much like everyone rewatching Girls in early 2022. I love how collective rewatches happen. Last living monoculture type beat.
