Lately I’ve been feeling like all of my thoughts left my brain and that I was once more intelligent (i.e. interesting, desirable, fun, etc.). I think my old self is lingering somewhere near me but I can’t touch her, I can only feel her. But I like reaching out and looking for her anyway.

Unfortunately, I think this is just the process of aging and accepting change. Saying goodbye to old selfs in order to create new ones. I've found seeing it as a constant metamorphosis (rather than just a pure loss) is helpful. But also, everyone is unique and I'm inevitably biased lol, so who knows if this is true. In the end, chart your own path of self discovery.
