Fly into Cork which is amazing and has a great food scene, so much history around the independence movement (why did they take Michael Collins‘s hat off display???????) then head to the Beara for gorgeous country side and lovely culture. I did a retreat at Dzogchen Beara and can’t wait to go back and spend more time exploring. Ballymaloe is a must - would love to try their summer cooking course.
The proud nation of Ireland has not only given the wonder of Cillian Murphy but also the Fontaines DC experience. The roughness of their early tracks cannot be beat — simply makes you want a pint and fight the British. Gian’s drawled line “You're not alive until you start kicking,” was my mantra this morning on the way to work. “Dublin City Sky” immediately put on afterwards. UP THE RA!
