ft² for ft², crisp, bright mirrors make the biggest impact on perceived cleanness*. sure, floors and other surfaces are important. but a freshly cleaned mirror makes an exponential difference. keep ‘em clean!

pre-lasik (sort of a rec too, i guess) every time i cleaned my glasses, i would be delighted by how nice things look when there aren't smudges in the way. i was reminded of this feeling again when i cleaned my laptop screen at a cafe on friday with a white linen napkin and some ice water. round motions (wax on wax off type shxt) seems to be the way to go here.
