I’m really obsessed with yoga in a v spiritual way. everyone should try yin yoga, which calls for remaining in poses for anywhere from 5-15 minutes at a time. It’s incredibly challenging on every level and just so meditative and healing.
I’m not the most active yogi but I do find it to be really restorative — physically, emotionally, and spiritually. I’ve also had a sore shoulder lately, in large part due to stress, and yoga has felt incredible to stretch it out and help me move my body in positive ways. It’s a great indoor activity on these days when leaving the house feels unpleasant.
Been doing yoga for 10 years and truly no practice has impacted me like this. Also called “hot 26 yoga,“ it’s a focus on 26 main yoga poses in a hot room. Supposedly this is the most restorative version of yoga (buzzword!!). it really is wild, hard but also super effective!!! I took one class and thought about how I will try to do this sort of thing until the end of time
I’ve been volunteering at a Victorian cemetery since 2016. We plant era-appropriate flowers and plants in the grave of people who have been dead for 100-200 years. It’s such a peaceful, meaningful way to remember the long dead and interact with nature. also I’m certain I have ghost friends who are coming through for me on the astral plane.
