when i need to write secrets, things i'm ashamed about, sexy sentences, or anything i don't want any eyes on (not even mine) i write as small as i possibly can. this past weekend i had a lot of floating anxieties that i committed to paper this way and free writing in this format helped offload thoughts that were making me loopy.
it looks kind of psychotic by the time i'm done a page but also kind of beautiful?

I used to write down my thoughts in composition notebooks with lines because it's just whatever I had in my shelf at home leftover from my school days but this is better! I'm excited to revamp my journal ecosystem!
Without the lines, I feel more free to write and it's so cute and compact I feel cooler writing in it and have been writing my thoughts and random things down more than I ever have??
composition notebook felt too much like school and it wasn't cute so I dreaded writing and it felt like a chore and I only wrote my miserable thoughts down

I carry around this tiny notebook everywhere I go and just write down any thought worth remembering. It’s helping me stay off my phone.
There are pages full of what would’ve been tweets when I was more chronically online.Theres a lot of quotes from books I’m reading or substack articles. Sometimes it’s just lists of tasks like “remember to refill prescription”.
