endlessly versatile delight to both satisfy your actual productivity needs and also iPad baby game brain good apps include
-photoshop for drawing (i just made my first show poster with it thank u driftwould for ur yoda guidance)
-notability for noting and journaling
- Sofa for categorizing and cataloguing things you’d like to do in your downtime, like games, movies, books, apps, etc. i like having them all in one place instead of in letterboxd and various others
-ur fav gotcha game of choice provided you spend no $$ on it
amaraofficial That sounds right up my alley. I have no desire to upgrade my phone anymore so I’ll probably just end up with an iPad or something haha also yes 👯 love new friends!
firesignemoji first of all just stalked ur page think we should be besties 🫣
tbh i wanted one lowkey for so long but also wouldn't spend the $$$ on it cuz its felt like a selfish purchase. but my partner gave me theirs that they no longer use and i’ve used it nonstop since i got it both for work stuff, music stuff, and personal stuff. it could definitely replace a computer (as long as you’re not like doing serious 3D printing or like trying to play BG3) with a keyboard attach so that’s one pro? plus they are lowkey way cheaper now than i had thought
Ugh ive been so tempted to get an iPad. It’s just so cute and portable. I’m way too easily influenced lol downloading sofa as we speak cause i love new apps
If you have an ipad (and possibly apple pencil): Paper (Freemium), Procreate, which is paid (and similar, like ibis paint, which is freemium), Goodnotes, freemium (and similar, like freenotes or notes+, which should be both free)
Apple devices: Freeform (free), Ibis Paint
Any device: Canva (freemium), shuffle by pinterest (i never tried it but i think it works, not paid but i'm not sure if it's freemium or free) and i think 17v28 too (i think freemium)
a friend just messaged me “you and your apps, you should have an app to recommend all your apps” and I realised that yeah I really do love a good app. I may do separate posts for apps in the future, but apart from the obvious ones (Insta, Spotify etc) here are some of my favourites: PI.FYI
Notion
Letterboxd
Natural Cycles
Planta
Shuffles
Swipewipe
Borrow Box
GG
Serialisd
Substack (love substack notes as a Twitter abstainer)
Heads Up
tbh a very fun and relatively cheap activity ($11 for all of this!) for any size group of ppl! i love to be connected to my food in the ways i can like trying to grow things and farmers market etc so this was a summer bucklister for me. plus lets you enjoy outdoors! bonus points if you can find a farm or orchard near you that is a family business 🫶🏽
