By Rhizome. A unique and beautifully made book cataloguing net art from the beginning to today. It is now wildly expensive but you can explore Rhizome.org like a digital gallery of net/new digital media art. Big recommend checking out some of Olia Lialina’s early browser works (her website is such a good net art gallery in itself as well) and if you like blingee, you will like her archival work/research. I love “Summer” AKA the ”most fragile gif on the internet” I don’t want to spoil it so look at it on a desktop. New media digital art is such a cool corner of the art world that is not talked about as much in scholarly contexts. Reading about it in a book feels oxymoronic but works very well!
