This it the kind of scent that will leave those within a couple feet of you trying to put their finger on its opulence for hours afterward. This fragrance is more of a feeling. On application it has a warm, woodsy quality, with an after note of floral sweetness. Its central ingredient of ambroxin morphs the middle notes of the fragrance to the nose based on your skin chemistry/ ph, giving it an intoxicating, lascivious artificial quality. It feels like running your fingers over silk. The saccharine blend of sugar and tapioca powder, like an embrace and being the last person awake at night all at the same time. Perfectly ambiguous in its qualities, and perfectly limitless to those who can (and should) wear it.

Jasmin et cigarette by etat libre d'orange

i find this to be a wildly misunderstood fragrance... the really stunning contrast here is between ripeness (indolic jasmine) and staleness (the astringence of a three-day-old ashtray). this is such a well-crafted fragrance that it has literally changed the way that its irl accords smell to me. this perfume will teach you the olfactory similarities between tobacco and other dried leaves (especially hay, and straw, and wheat, and green/white teas). perhaps most importantly of all this perfume will remind u that, despite what the white-floral-industrial-complex wants you to think, there has always been and will always be something subtly and addictively weird/gross about the smell of jasmine.

skin by clean

my current perfume obsession. it opens really bright and fresh, then dies down to a warm musky vanilla & tonka bean blend that’s to die for. it’s sweet but not necessarily gourmand. my biggest issues with it are the silliage & longevity. it sits very close to the skin and has to be reapplied after a few hours. people on fragrantica say it’s not worth the money bc of that but nobody on there ever suggested alternate perfumes so idrgaf 🤷🏿‍♀️
