shes kind of a proto-Lana.. mostly in looks/aura/motif moreso than her sound. i like thinking of “Courtyard” as spiritually connected to Blue Banisters… who doesn’t long for a man to come and fix up your house
So comfy. Feels like being under a warm blanket and reading a fun book about legends and stories of the old west, heroes and horses. The albums John Wesley Harding through Pat Garrett and Billy The Kid. Favorite songs: The Ballad of Frankie Lee and Judas Priest, Tonight I’ll Be Staying Here With You, Days of ‘49, If Not For You (George Harrison also did a great version of this!)
not as active as it used to be but one of my favorites is atelierpourenfants on blogspot. if you appreciate art books, artwork made by kids, naive or outsider art. I’m an elementary art teacher and it’s a wonderful resource for that. It’s run by junko nakamura who is a really great teaching artist based out of FR.
