My wallpaper is a collage of photos of the series of works called Possibilities of Fingers by performance artist Robertas Antinis.
This is a very personal piece for me, as an architecture student focused on social building and political and antropological relations on construction sites. Though Antinis brings an almost erotic perspective to the materiality of the ceramic brick, it is a remider for me of the physical interactions between people and building materials
show du jour... this one must be seen to be believed honestly... atop each flying saucer-like object is a mind-bending mirror illusion that makes it seem like a tiny sculpture is rotating there but actually it is inside. i really don't know how else to describe this!! it is so impressive on like a science/technical level but also the forms themselves are really beautiful and emotional... they are described as ballerinas in a jewelry box... i really loved this!!
What’s going on in his art? I have no idea, but it’s such a mysterious, eclectic vibe and collections of random items, places, and symbols I’m fascinated by.
Best tip I ever received was how to cook Eggs Blue Monday : boil the water, throw your eggs in, play Blue Monday from New Order. When the songs stops, your eggs are cooked to perfection. And you get to listen to Blue Monday to make your day better.
Living in Rome, you can't escape the Disneyland of Catholicism everywhere. I lived next to Vatican and became obsessed with all the merch you can buy such as glow in the dark virgin mary or shot glasses with the pope effigy. An everyday sacred and profane experience. My personal favorite is to shop underwear in the nuns clothing section...
They are so fresh and cute, her voice is lovely and it makes you feel teleported in the 90s. There's a full album of them and it's like better than listening to a Podcast.
