Just delete yr twitter. Or BeReal. Or perhaps archive all yr instagram posts. Much better alternative and a good reminder that it’s all fake and arbitrary
I’m not talking about disabling I’m talking about deleting your fucking Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, whatever. The posting, scrolling, liking is helping nobody. Hardcore for some but the path I’ve chosen
I did this earleir in the year with X (Twitter). — Actually I thought I was just "deactivating" my account and that I could return later. But apparently X fully deletes the account after 30 days. This was unintended, but I'm really glad for how it worked out. Don't miss it at all.
Where I'm at now with the other platforms, IG and FB, is that I'm genuinely asking that question — can I use these in a way that builds up and moves me toward the "best version of me" or is it an overall net negative?
I'd like to reframe my engagement so it becomes a positive, but if I cannot do that I am going to deactivate my accounts.
