this is one of the most healing and stress reducing habits i have. basically when your worries are swirling nonstop in your head... just write them down in your special book and then close it and put it somewhere out of sight! u will feel a huge weight lifted just having your thoughts in the form of words somewhere external! it is so therapeutic to spend time with the words/thoughts and give them form as well as a place to be.
personally i only journal when i really need to and try not to force myself into a regimen because then i wont do it lol. i rely on this practice very much and it really helps me!! ♥

💯 I started just journaling ok and off in the evenings a long time ago, and these days I end up journaling basically twice a day- once in the morning with my coffee, three pages or so longhand to sort of prime the pump and sort out my thoughts for the day, and then when I’m winding down for the night another short entry, couple hundred words to just lay my thoughts and worries down so I don’t take them with me to bed. makes a massive difference in my peace of mind.

I start every day with 20 mins of writing. It's amazing how even if at first I'm just rambling and whining, bemoaning problems I have and questions I don't know how to answer, by the end I'm telling myself what I need to get done today and answering the unanswerable questions. Sometimes it takes a few days. But it always comes out eventually.

this is only a habit i have picked up in the last year, but it has made a world of difference. i will write about things that i am thinking about or stuff i need to do or just chronicle my day. i just find it very grounding or like a reset to my thought processes.

I've been journaling lately, and it's been such a game-changer! It's super simple – just grab a notebook or even an app on your phone. The best part is, there's no right or wrong way to do it. You can write (draw) about anything that's on your mind, from daily happenings to random thoughts and feelings. It's a great way to clear your head and get in touch with yourself. Plus, it can be really therapeutic to see your thoughts on paper (or screen). You might find it helps you process stuff and even spark some new ideas. Give it a try

this seems like such an obvious and basic recommendation but journaling truly makes me feel like i’ve reached a higher level of existence. putting my thoughts to paper… writing about anything i want… knowing that i don’t have to worry about the quality of my writing because it’s unlikely that anyone else will be reading it… that’s true bliss.
