I’m a very boring person so when somebody come outta nowhere with a wild ass sentence that I know will lead to some insane story I throw this one out so they take me on that journey.
it’s common courtesy, as this is their city and i’m just an interloper at that. alerting them to my presence gives them time to graciously make space for me.
was gifted this book and can’t recommend it enough. somewhat autobiographical, jace inspects the modern age of music through asociological lens, looking at its evolution through capitalism (oooh buzzword), class, culture, and everything in between. it sounds more heady than it is, but it‘s really just a book about dj nerd asking “why” and “how” about their love.
