i love sharing jokes with strangers. most jokes people have known since they were kids - heard one they shouldn’t have from dad or maybe a good knock knock at school. jokes are a silly way to get to know someone. learn some jokes - here’s one: what’s the difference between a greyhound bus station and a lobster with big boobs? one’s a crusty bus station and the other is a busty crustacean
the cultural taboo against stealing jokes needs to be dismantled. a stolen joke is not stolen valor, it is simply a shared joy. if we're already sharing memes and tiktoks and snl bits, why not a regular joke?
I would stand on my toy slide platform like a stage and tell jokes to my parents and their friends because I wanted to be a standup comedian (they always encouraged me to express myself and as you can tell from this picture they also let me dress myself).
So this one was my favorite:
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Banana.
Banana who?
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Banana.
Banana who?
Knock knock.
Who’s there?
Orange.
Orange who?
Orange you glad I didn’t say banana?
