for me this will include clips, barrettes, ponytails, pigtails, hair gel, spikes, bows, ribbons, experimental bangs, etc but i love seeing other people's approaches to this. i think the reason i like elaborate hairstyles so much is because they are so expressive and transformative and they communicate a vision for yourself so clearly. it feels good to customize your appearance in such a precise way

i too have thick layered hair iβm trying to grow out. iβve been leaning into clips/bows/hair ties to spice things up a bit. a half up half down situation is always fun. i also have bangs, and i usually leave them down. and to your point about it flipping out at the ends, maybe lean into it. iβve been looking at vintage hairstyles and i think you could like commit to the bit of the flip ya know? bouncy 60s mod style.
just have fun with it, do something weird, who cares? as long as you feel happy about it. i used to be a single hairstyle kinda person. not anymore!

looks good on every hair type, so classy and beautiful, you can be so creative with styles⦠ugh i love braids. i need more people to get medieval with it and do more braided styles!
