i sewed a sound module (with speaker) (i included the link to it) into this hello kitty doll for my friend’s birthday. when you press the button on her hand it plays through the entirety of One More Time by Daft Punk on full blast. also there’s no way to turn it off you just have to sit though the entire 5-minute song. i keep accidentally pressing the button and to block out the sound i end up having to bury her under a pile of clothes / smother her with a blanket :P
Spent my evening after work hand sewing this to cover up the wear. Finally got to use this Marimekko fabric my coworker gave me, and this random spare button from an old coat. Not pictured: my first attempt at a zipped one, except I was too tired to realise I didn't have the right type of zip until I'd sewn it all together...
a very very late christmas present for a friend i hand sewed a lining for it from some old shorts (it took to 2 hours) while listening to Say Nothing by Patrick Radden Keefe.
In an effort to overcompensate for emotional neglect, I was gifted a cricut easy joy cutting machine for my birthday. This bad baby has the capabilities to fulfill all my inner child dreams of fashion design. I’m planning to make a line of “pride merch that doesn’t suck,” this year. My first and probably over ambitious project was this hoodie for my lover, she’s a blacksmith and we bonded over a love for Hiatus Kaiyote. I love getting to blend my love for fashion with my other hobbies like illustration/graphic design :)
