These new takes on social media that have communication elements but aren't putting them front in center in a "just post something" sort of way.
Obv PI is this, I would also consider futureland.tv in this wave and are.na (although I'm not too familiar with this one). Are there others?
Linked is a Verge article about an app in beta that's a browser that only searches and shows feeds (RSS, ActivityPub, etc.) It sounds interesting! But I'm more excited that this is only one of many experiments to diversify the web.
