Crazy story of a deluded fan and the lengths he'll go to take a shortcut to achieve his dreams. Peak Robert De Niro, peak Martin Scorsese. It's like a tightening noose of cringe and the ending is perfect.
I love a good heist movie… if you can call this that.
And I love 70s Pacino (Godfather 1 and 2, … And Justice for All)
If you like seeing this man freak out, walk don’t run watch this now
I remember reading about the poorly choreographed dance scenes in Boogie Nigbtw as a poor man’s ver of Saturday Night Fever. In the same, loving way, Donnie Brasco is a great film that missed the Scorsese slickness and cast to make it top shelf baller (Pacino and Depp, fuhgetabowdit!) No matter it‘s its own gem, no way a fugazzi. Enjoy with some black sambuca and an espresso. Bang!
Ween’s best. Captures the vibe of getting gas in New Jersey, a reminder that sometimes it’s best to leave it to the pros. you’ll laugh you’ll cry and you’ll find a place your own glorification. 10/10
its riveting to look at old newspapers about the most mundane happenings of yore and random pics when they include people and places still familiar today
