“Ray of Light” came on in the car the other day right as I turned down a windy canyon road and I had a religious experience. This live performance on Oprah really conveys how vocally ambitious this record was for Madge. She seems a little shy and her dancing is really cute

Perfect. Hope doesn’t look at the audience or camera the entire song and is magnetizing. David still rocks the beatnik cap somehow (although I would never). I watch this at least once a month. I’m disappointed to realize there is no tambourine emoji in writing this….

this is my favorite live performance video on youtube. something about the perfect harmony, insane reverb, brilliant songwriting, and very fly-on-the-wall camera setup completely makes me feel the magic that was captured in this room. can’t recommend enough.
