I was into it, then I was like, nah only digital/typing, and then I've recently started using an e-ink tablet to write by hand again...kinda get the best of all worlds...
if i'm not on a time crunch, i will always try to hand write the first draft of all my creative writing projects. this makes me take it slower, think more about the words i'm putting down. it also acts as the first round of editing whenever i type it into my computer so i'm one step closer to a finished project. there's some so much more satisfying about being able to look at the progress made on a story that is hand written rather than typed in a computer.
ive never actually used one but i long for the tactility that it can bring and how it slows you down just a tad bit! those sounds and those actuations wooo weeeeee... this feels like its in the same vein as film (analog vs. digital) and other older forms of making + obsolete-ish technology
When you find that meme that truly only a very few could ever understand. It requires deep, archaic, cultural fringe knowledge to connect but when it does…
When you don’t even know anyone else personally who you could share it with.
But knowing that someone out there gets this little aspect of the world enough to have created this little meme gives you that “Humanity is so beautiful” feeling.
