i love watching the youtube channel ‘Mr. Sunday Movies’ and it’s basically 2 australian guys reviewing movies and tv shows (& video games). i recently watched the third Matrix film and i’ve watched all their videos on the Matrix films and their respective video games. i love their perspectives and i find it interesting to hear about what it was like when the movies were coming out from people older than me. i’ve linked their video on the Animatrix series. :)

I have been watching YouTube since I was 9. I have seen all the classics. I still watch it to this day but now I watch YouTubers. I love that they just share their opinion and comment about things. I am watching Noel Miller and Cody Ko right now. They are maybe my favorite. I also really like Kurtis Connor, Drew Gooden and Danny Gonzalez. They make fun videos about random topics. They will review a poorly made movie or a new meme. It’s all so lighthearted and funny.

Empire Of The Mind Probably closest to what youre looking for in this list of my recs. This was a purely philosophy channel to begin with and turned into film analysis a couple years ago. There aren't many videos but theyre great quality, in-depth and long essay form most of them are older classics though.
Now You See It Analytic in nature sometimes uses specific films to focus on but more often focused on common themes, filmmakers, specific scenes
Every Frame A Painting Gorgeous, focused more on cinematography though; specific scenes and their themes like use of space&time, scores, editing, shots, comedy, action etc.

i know this isn’t a new concept but i went to the movies on my own for the first time today (i saw “civil war”) and i genuinely enjoyed it :D you get to take your time getting ready and when to show up at the theater and you can get your own popcorn… a very fun movie experience (especially if the theater is mostly empty :D)

last week i bought a costco chocolate cake because i felt like it, and it was so good and it brought me so much joy. sometimes one needs to eat cake for breakfast. and that’s okay.

i’ve kept a journal since I was in elementary school and i love having a record of what was going on in my life at different points in my life, and also noticing how i handled situations and how my thought processes have changed over time. keep a journal! it’s a great way to record your life :)
