I bring this on every trip like it’s a bible ahah. He talks about beauty, pain, love, solitude, nature through the lens of patience and practice and ‘living your way into the answers’. The perspectives really resonate with me I think cause they’re so raw + complex, but also warm + nourishing

A series of hopeful letters about love, art, purpose and life to a young 20-something cadet by mesmerizing writer Rilke. This man. He lived in the 1900's but it feels like he is talking directly to you. So personal, so intimate and emotional. Beautiful poetic writing, combined with heart-warming advice you'll find yourself thinking of everyday.

i was gifted this book & besides my journal and lipgloss, it is the only thing i take with me everywhere all the time no matter what. Rilke wrote beautiful & profound letters to a student of his, though it feels like he wrote them to me, to you, to us. it touches me on an artistic level, but it is also very much a book that pokes at spirituality & existentialism in a way that makes u reach inside yourself to find what already inherently exists inside of u. thx Zander for the gift :‘)
