The hours between 6am and 10am exist between dreams and reality, why sleep through it?? Ride your bike! Catch the sunrise! Make coffee for one! Become a regular at your local diner! Practice a new funny voice! Profess your love to your one true love! Rob a bank! The possibilities are endless!!
Variety = spice of life, get up with the sun sometime and grab a coffee, maybe make yourself a nice breakfast, or go eat at a diner. Go back to the >10 am wakeups on most days when you don't have to, but get up early as the choice, sometimes
I've been getting over jet lag the past week. It was waking up at 5am and didn't want to dick around the apartment until it was time to go to work, so I went to a coffee shop that opened at 7 to journal a bit. It was nice. I liked taking my time. I texted some friends about it. And some of them showed up the next morning? And the next morning? And regular early morning coffee before work is just a thing we do now?
It seems like the choice has been made for me that I have to change my sleep schedule to accommodate this now that I'm back on this timezone. Seeing my friends faces, chatting, and working on our little tasks together first thing in the morning is just too sweet.
1. Wake up early and check your bank accounts. Being spooked by your balance is so 2023. 2. Spend 10 min learning a language (reviewing, speaking, whatever). 3. Journal for 10 min, even if it’s uninteresting meandering.
4. Work out! Better with a friend!
5. Breakfast at home with an iced oat latte and a ridiculously long anime. Something about watxhing One Piece after being a baller before 9 am…effervescent
