Just walked into one thinking it would be quirky for the aesthetic but no. Only whispering was allowed. I sat in something that resembled a pew? Gregorian chants were playing. Bartender looked like he wanted to kill himself. Exhilarating

Yesterday my friends and I went out to this bar that was supposedly some hot new thing. To our surprise, it was almost completely empty when we walked in. We got a table in the back corner that was dimly lit—ideal for conversation—and played hangman.
I don’t really like crowded bars so I guess it makes sense that I liked the empty one as much as I did. In a perfect world maybe all the “cool new” bars would be empty on a Saturday night at 1:00 am

really cool themed bar, think they only just opened months ago and i got a yelp ad for it when i was in town. the owner was behind the bar and she was the nicest person ever. the attention to details of this place is insane, from glasswares to decors to the fact that every drink on the menu has some kind of homemade ingredient in it
the whole bar at some point bonded over saltburn / jacob elordi / barry keoghan the night i was there so all 10-ish of us ended up sitting and chatting together and the people working joined us as well—i’m getting specific but i have a feeling this isn’t a standalone event!!

Had a bar experience so pleasant I had to share: The Thirsty Crow in Silverlake
Silverlake–– I know–– that's what I thought. But this bar was awesome. Beautiful wooden interior, oil gas lamps, tasteful indie rock, open game cube, pickle shots. Is that "Turkey Vultures" by Wednesday playing on the overhead speakers? Yup. Drinks were so good and a 10$ special for manhattans before 9pm. Took my girls here last night and it was EPIC
