The artist known as the first to combine the sounds of Shoegaze and Black-Metal into one aptly titled “Blackgaze” this is the re-recording of his debut EP ”Le Secret”, Which is downright beautiful and really is a perfect example to me of what the subgenre had going for it in the late 2000s and 2010s. If you have any interest in long form tracks or are a fan of Shoegaze I’d highly recommend checking this out because it’s an amazing record!

An absolute punishing and complex album and one I’ve put off getting into for about a year now but I’ve finally given it a listen. There’s some truly transcendental moments on this album. If you’re a fan of swans and no wave do not hesitate to give this a listen!

This album is seriously incredible. One of those albums that keeps me coming back for more and more and I seem to not get tired of it when I revisit. Some truly beautiful and also brutal and depressive moments on here that have only gotten better with time.
