it requires almost no work and lets you make money off of your existing money, basically the same as a regular savings account but you can actually get more than six cents a month in interest payments

If you’re not using one already, do it now! I’ve been using marcus for about a year (when I finally started to try and get my financial act together) and let me tell ya, getting 4.5% interest feels wayyyyy better than the 0.04% I was getting with my old bank. Obviously I’d be happy if you wanted to use my referral code (gives us both 5.5% for 3 months) but mostly just want to promote getting a hysa for everyone!

Saving money...

it's hard, I know, but just take 10% out of your paycheck immediately when it hits your account and Zelle or transfer it to an account that isn't as easily accessible. Savings accounts are good too, but you'd be surprised how fast it grows out of sight out of mind
