Every city has at least 1 rock climbing gym. I’m at the point where I go like 3-4 times a week after work, effectively making this my Third Space. Everything you could want is in most rock gyms:
Rock walls for beginners and experts ✅
Non-judgmental, chill environment ✅
Standard gym amenities ✅
Great social interactions ✅
Gain great friendships and knowledge from fellow climbers ✅ The only thing that may be an excluding factor is the price: my monthly dues are $75, which is not expensive for me, but I’m not everyone and I can 100% guarantee that any trendy rock gym in Bushwick, Chelsea, or Brooklyn will be priced higher.
