they've literally assigned this reading for four of my classes in uni, but for good reason. Really great essay about images on the internet, to completely oversummarize. would hiiighly recommend.

brilliant little essay, it’s a little dense at times. it’s an essay that has stayed with me and showed up in so much of my readings and research again and again. she also was involved in many porn studies articles as well, super fascinating work.

essay: virginia woolf on cinema
how had i never known my favourite author had written about my favourite medium !! succint and still relevant, especially interesting that it was written in 1926. basically a dissection of the medium of film, a quick read but rich and fulfilling. (ps this website is gold, publishes texts on film in english dutch and french)
