lately i’ve been sending “cultural observations” to my friends (stories about people i observe on the train mostly) and it’s so much easier to get my point across in a voice memo. i love to send one immediately after something occurs and not worry about the people around me hearing
lately I have been talking and talking and talking into my voice memos app, thinking about getting some empty tapes and a tape recorder and transferring my form of journaling into this form. my mind moves so fast, it is nice to clear my thoughts in that way :-)
i feel like i’m much more likely to listen to a voice memo recording than a video, but maybe that’s just me. sometimes i like taking a concert video, especially if there’s a specific song i wanna commemorate on video, but letting your phone sit in your pocket and just record is so nice n easy. also, if you’re at a concert where you’re standing, you won’t be blocking someone’s view with your phone. i <3 the voice memo app 4ever
i have noticed occasionally that some recs are turning into, dare i say, tweet-esque things…i think it’s easy to slip into acting like this is any old social media platform when it is not that; it is a special little place to tell people things you love ❣️🌀
