I get doubled notifications when someone mentions me in a comment back on my own rec

Noticed this twice today. When someone @ mentions me in a comment back on my own rec, two notifications are fired: 1. X commented on your rec 2. X mentioned you in a comment.

i think commenting on your own rec creates an empty notification (desktop, firefox)

earlier today I commented on my own rec and then I saw a new notification alert, but when I opened the notification menu I didn’t see anything new

NOT SURE IF THIS IS INTENTIONAL OR NOT

I just commented once and was only replied to once on this post. It does have an abnormally high number of comments but I haven’t gotten notifications like this before. I am following the person posting all of the comments, so maybe that’s why. Perhaps you can make it so that if someone comments on their own post it won’t notify people?
