i have tons of arts & crafts supplies, sensory toys like play dough & slime, a nature box for grounding with cool rocks & seeds, aromatherapy (candles, incense, essential oil diffuser), floor pillows, cozy lighting and plushies galore, plus two cats
Lately I'm loving humble, homey vibes. Lots of pictures of small but thoughtfully designed kitchens with warm maple cabinets and yellow window curtains. Lots of crochet and hand-knit blankets and tapestries. Green couches and lots of plants. Gallery walls filling every inch with art and trinkets. Lots of cabins and A-frames. Lots of old bathrooms with fun colorful tiles. Overall vibes are that we're working with what we have and making it both look beautiful and feel like a hug.
Moving 80% done yall! Im so happy on how the place is turning out :)) my candles, my tarot deck, the lampshade mom made, a giraffe trinket from by BFF/sister, a dried bouquet I got for my birthday etc
after five years of grad school and subsequent job search, i can finally say i have successfully changed careers π i start my new job counseling kids at a community mental health clinic on Monday. yesterday was my last shift at the grocery store that was an escape from my horrible corporate job and a sustaining force throughout grad school. itβs so bittersweet to leave the sweetest coworkers iβve ever had and the most fun iβve had at work. itβs immeasurably healing to quit a job for only good reasons. my coworkers got me a cake, everyone wrote notes in a card, and the goodbyes throughout the day made my heart swell. i even got to tell the good news to my favorite instacarter π₯Ί after i clocked out for the last time, my friends joined me for gelato at the cafe and we strolled the store for a final time, this time as simply a loyal customer.
