did anyone else play this weird little game...shooting crazy looking heads with crazier sound effects...the creators really freaked it w that one. i used to waste hours in the computer room in my childhood home just blowing up dude's heads, shit rocked
a spin-off of "dogz" and "catz," the spiritual PC predecessors to nintendogs. this game was for the weird girls. pictured here is honker, but there were many oddballz you could hatch. feed 'em grubz, play with a pogo stick, shoot your oddball with a laser and transform them into another animal, play some music and have a dance party. OG brainrot.
Most were bizarro clones of popular games on other platforms. But I love them. Shout out BOOM (Bomberman with Doom aesthetics), Snood (Puzzle Bobble but ugly), and Bonkheads (Mario Bros. but you're a couple of Shreks).
This creepy game was on the computers at school. It starts at a carnival but when you win the prize doll you get trapped inside it and then sent to a weird island with all these logic puzzles. I remember being very obsessed — did anyone else ever play this?
Last year my new year's resolution was to get hotter. To this day it is the best resolution I've ever made, because feeling hot forces you to be embodied. In 2023 I genuinely put time and energy into considering my corporeal form. What cuts of clothing make me feel powerful? What colors? What fabrics do I like to feel on my skin? What hairstyles accentuate my bone structure? What physical activity could I actually sustain and enjoy? How does my body feel energetically when I eat certain foods? It brought me out of a haze of digital overwhelm; I was no longer an avatar but a living, breathing, sweating, dancing, fucking human. Consider getting hotter today!
