My first gig of the year coming back to London was a Manchester band by the name of Nightbus: a gothic trio following the cities roots in the scene, even closing their set with a cover of Joy Division’s ‘Shadowplay.’ Nightbus mix their goth styles with industrial break beats and looming vocals, creating an intensive atmosphere that translates seamlessly live, replacing drum machines with a DDJ Flx-4 for a bit of a modern twist. With an album on the way, Nightbus is a group worth checking out, both online and on-stage.
