Lexapro: literally did nothing besides give me sexual side effects. Could not sleep
Effexor: was on this the longest - it did something to help but honestly it also made me feel verifiably insane. I went to the hospital twice on it for panic attacks. could not sleep
Zoloft: probably the most beneficial of all - I liked that it kind of wires you a bit but i still hated the sexual side effects. could sort of sleep
Wellbutrin: did absolutely nothing even tho I had high hopes

for me personally the best antidepressant was realizing I was using drugs and alcohol to cope, stopped smoking weed all the time, find a good match for a therapist, ate healthier, got a job that was fulfilling, get off social media, exercise, find a supportive partner (itβs all easier said than done but this truly does help)

ive been on it for ~ 10ish years (probably started way too young) but it gives me the power to be a functional human without diminishing my range of emotion (huge plus because i feel most alive when im laughing and crying i just don't want to be crying all of the time) prozac gave me insomnia and trintellix made me stupid. unfortunately i cannot cum like 96/100 times but i'll take that over how bad my depression was
also buspar on top of that helps w anxiety with like no side effects at all

i got lucky with zoloft and didnt have to switch around. main side effect for me is iβm always sleepy but i remember realizing it was worth it when i was making coffee in the kitchen one morning and started laughing to myself for the first time since i could remember
