but maybe play frog detective 1: the haunted island and 2: the case of the invisible wizard first. the payoff will be better this way, but third is best!

i mostly played ds games as a kid but for some reason this pc game that i used to play at my parents’ enormous iMac G3 comes to mind. it’s a point and click adventure game where you’re a little anthropomorphic detective fish with a sidekick named luther (nothing funnier to a seven-year-old than a fish named luther). i think the one i played was freddi fish and the case of the haunted schoolhouse, which was juuuust creepy enough to interest me while still being age appropriate

ALL THIS FOR FUCKING EDUCATIONAL KIDS HIDDEN OBJECT GAME. like who does this anymore?? unfortunately, i'm not sure if any are playable anymore save for maybe spooky mansion?? (not the ugly wii version, good LORD talk about a downgrade). however, i'm pretty sure all of them are findable on youtube playthroughs, so go check 'em out! if nothing else, they're great to fall asleep to

wanna break your own heart this valentine’s day? you should listen to the album the meadowlands by the wrens from front to back. if you’re from new jersey, i doubly recommend. specifically, you should listen to the song 13 months in 6 minutes and let the last two minutes tear you asunder.
