Beautiful album. Electronic? Minimalist? Produced by Yuta Matsumura, featuring poetry by Keanu Nelson. It's in both Luritja and English. Keanu is from Papunya, Australia (pop. 404) which is a pretty fascinating place to read about. There has been pretty incredible art coming out of the Papunya Tula Collective since the 70s that I linked to. listen to it, it's really pretty

ethereal, otherworldly and wildly experimental album from Brooklyn based multi-instrumentalist L’Rain. I imagine this is what artsy freaks (complimentary) like Tilda Swinton or Andre 3000 listen to as they start the day.

ethereal electronic folk pop music from the Austin raised artist Quiet Light, who I came across via Ana Roxanne’s hub on nina protocol (independent artist streaming platform) perhaps the highlight of my week

Apple Music tells me that this was one of my most-listened to albums of 2023, and it's still in regular rotation. Ten perfectly crafted electronic tone poems, or maybe short stories told in beeps and boops, by turns menacing, nostalgic, and sweet. Especially recommended to listen to on headphones after nibbling half an edible before drifting off to sleep. (See also NWBC co-collaborators' solo projects: DJ Python's hypnotic percussive tapestry Mas Amable, and Ana Roxanne's trippy ambient daydream Because of a Flower.)

the essential bulgarian spice. I had a Bulgarian at my house over the holidays and he brought this to share. Seriously addictive, very salty, contains summer savory, paprika, fenugreek & thyme. I have been putting this on bread, in soup, even on popcorn. Delicious, wow!
