buying something from one of the 10000000 tabs i have open

First of all I’ve had some time to think about it secondly closing one of these 10000000 tabs bc I’ve actually used it is a crazy feeling and luxury in and of itself like yes you had it open for a reason it wasn’t digital hoarding!!

imo understanding why/how I kept collecting random stuff helped me focus only on what I had; if I wanted to buy smthn but it had NO PRACTICAL USE or smthn I owned ALREADY FULFILLED THE PURPOSE it‘s not getting bought 🤷‍♀️

Spending money you don't have

there's something so thrilling about spending money you don't have. the idea of "well i could get creamed by a car tomorrow so i'll buy this $30 art print that i won't frame for two years" encourages appreciation for the fleeting nature of life. that, and i really wanted that art print. it's a hamster saying "no thoughts, head empty." that's worth $30 to me.
