i've thought a lot about this... i think the social dynamics of virtual worlds are fascinating. from the queer friendships, relationships, and sexual encounters that (primarily) straight men engage in with other straight men in vrchat, or how those places allow for a new discovery of the self, and how those affect people's attitudes to one another. video games are also just cool.
but im gonna be an astronomer! which i feel content with

I play skyrim (hearthfire expansion>>>) like i play stardew valley, i do cutesy little side quests for the benefit of the community, i have my little homestead and i want to get married and adopt children and i take no notice of the civil war playing out around me...
on the other hand i have modded the sims to almost unplayability (i have a broken extreme violence mod) and try to play that as close to gta as possible

I love listening to some sort of vaporwave or frutiger aero youtube video while working but something about following along with someone completing their video game tasks has been cozy and comforting.

i am just starting to get into video games but im addicted to this mmo rpg (just learned what that means). itโs so fun and i get so lost in it. i understand why people game for hours on end now. thereโs so much fun exploring and homesteading and chatting with villagers and quests!! a delight, and itโs also free :)
