just finished this beautiful and pleasant game! its bread and butter is its movement system in which you get speed boosts by shooting floating talismans with your bow and arrow (it's quite satisfying).
this movement system does such a great job marrying gameplay with storytelling, messaging, and themes. this was clearly intentional and i appreciate/respect that a lot.
you explore this pretty open world and solve simple puzzles, with a few boss fights. this is not a challenging game in the slightest once you get the hang of the movement system, and i finished the story and unlocked 40/43 achievements in 12 hours.

a creature solely known as the knight fights their way through a metroidvania of countless bugs, difficult bosses and platforming challenges, all while uncovering the truth of the eternal kingdom of hallownest
this world is something storytellers DREAM of. got that soulsborne-esque drip fed vague lore (though i highly recommend mossbag's videos on the lore as we know it v entertaining i watch the main one to go to sleep all the time). it's almost addicting to try & discover more of the world, tackle the incredibly fun bosses and meet this world's inhabitants (shout out corniselda hive), which is a great motivator especially for a game this difficult.
and when i say difficult, i am not even remotely mincing words. carpal tunnel gang beware.
true story: i actually had to buy this game twice. i initially got it on switch, but the brief moments of joycon drift i was experiencing was enough to fuck up moments of precision platforming that need to be done pitch perfectly, bc some sections can be extremely unforgiving with checkpoints and backtracking. so, i caved and bought it again on steam, happily, bc a team like this deserves every goddamn penny
no exaggeration, a once in a lifetime experience. the amount of content you get for such a low price tag is staggering. triple a's WISH they could be this complete and satisfying

awesome metroidvania, quick and precise gameplay, really impressive catholic pixel aesthetics, an homage to berserk and dark souls, "biblically accurate", LATAM fams will understand the refferences.
imo it was an easy game overall, definitely easier than Hollow Knight. an incredible fun experience tho, not all games need to be hardcore. the puzzles/quests are difficult if you do not pay attention, because they won't tell you again nor what to do with the many pieces of quest items
loved the game, trying to get 100% before starting NG+

Dark souls meets Studio Ghibli meets Zelda.
Soulslike action adventure with isometric 3D top down animation.
Recing again because I just 100%ed another run through and itโs still just the best game. Just one of the best games ever made. The controls are so slick and it feels so good to play. The animation is gorgeous and the story is entertaining without getting in the way of the game play. Itโs challenging without being punishing and the QOL is so high and well thought out that itโs never overly frustrating even when repeating hard bits over and over. Clearly made my people who play games and understand what is needed to make them feel good.

I filed a complaint with a bunch of receipts to my city's rent board last month after my landlord notified me of another increase, and turns out she was in violation of increasing rent within 12 months following a previous rent increase
The city just told my landlord to reimburse me the excess rent, and my current rent must remain in place until next March for her to be in compliance (she wanted to raise it another 10% in October lol)
