personally love to say “you just had to be there” in reference to music i recently happened upon that came out while my parents were still kids growing up in the caribbean. 70s/80s rock will always have a special place in my heart, bc it reminds me of driving around south brooklyn and listening to the oldies/lite rock station on the car radio growing up. this might be the best rock album i’ve ever heard.
This one comes to me as a memory, specifically an evening on my childhood while driving through my blue city listening to my mom's nostalgia playlist on her car on the 2000.
i’m rlly interested in culture writing abt the current state of dating. last week i read “why don’t people date their friends anymore?” by serena smith for dazed and “death by situationship” by magdelene j taylor for her personal substack. highly recommend both!
i fell down a flight of stairs at the colosseum the first time i ever went to europe. my mom is a nyc court stenographer and i grew up going to court with her as a kid.
