I hadn’t heard of her until someone sent me a youtube video, “Is Laufey jazz” by Adam Neely. It does her justice but is also a really thoughtful exploration of jazz past, present, and future 🎷
her voice has such a gorgeous, honey-like quality to it. she is an extremely gifted songwriter, whether the song is cheerful and cheeky or more reflective and wistful.
