Underground Chilean punk under Pinochet's neoliberal death regime that is as interesting historically as it is cutting edge. When I first heard this album I thought it was another Minor Threat copycat (shockingly similar!) but they both developed at the same time in scenes that don't seem to have overlapped until at least the 90s. I'll defend my DC hometown heroes until the end, but the vocals and passion in Los KK might make you reconsider which band should have gained international fame. No diss to Ian MacKaye
Black Flag, Circle Jerks, X, Germs, Fear, all before anyone even knew who they were. (I did, I grew up in SoCal during that time -- but it's not like anyone outside of L.A. did).
Subtitled for the punk-impaired.
