I‘m wondering why we stopped having blogs and writing essays? I want to hear people’s thoughts. I want to share my thoughts! and I don’t want to see these thoughts in a few sentences on twitter or a short Instagram post. I need a 1000+ word essay with images, links, references, book recs, and everything else. I wanna know what’s going on inside your brain.

STARTING A BLOG

RETVRN to simpler internet times. Tw*tter is not super duper chill anymore. And I need to get my genius thoughts out there. My friends need it. Lemme just write an essay on some bullshit right quick. Would be easier to suggest if I knew what you do, but here’s a thought, start with what you actually want to talk about. Could be business, could be personal reflections, or ideas you just can’t shake off.
Begin with a post that lays it out. what you want to explore and why. That gives people a reason to come along. Substack is really about building or joining a community through your voice.
On mine, I write lessons from real strategy work. Stuff I’ve learned working with both startups and legacy businesses.just clear thinking on growth, decisions, and what actually works.
Start simple, start honest, and you’ll find your lane.

This letterboxd list of films found online 4 Free

I need to share this list I made because it is such a blessing to me that I can just open youtube or vimeo and watch these lovely little movies. there’s a range of them like bergman, tarkovsky, polish films, art-house, weird matthew gray gubler short, experimental horror, short films from the 20’s. how fun.

Rijks museum website

I‘ve been getting/downloading prints of paintings from this site since I was a teenager. you can download hi-res images of the paintings and use them for whatever you’d like. I used to use them as notebook covers because I didn’t like the original covers some of my notebooks for school had. now I just like scrolling on the website (another thing I love! scrolling through websites.) and looking at the paintings/drawings/photographs.
