Get over yourself, The Boys Are Back In Town is a great song. And you know what else is? Most other Thin Lizzy songs. These Irish lads knew how to rock and how to roll. Running Back is one of the greatest songs ever made and it makes me want to keep running back to Thin Lizzy day after day.

There is nothing else to say but "hells yes" to this post. Phil is perhaps one of the most underrated real "rock n roll" vocalists in the history of music. I rate him right up there with Bon Scott plus he played bass! I played the shit out of the Jailbreak album as a kid and "Cowboy Song" is just an out and out great tune. Give 'em their flowers, and check out the Phil statue while in Dublin, he's a true Irish hero.

Great albums to start with, they have a good variety of their sounds and vibe. They also randomly have a cover of Foxey Lady on Three Imaginary Boys I honestly like more then Hendrix’s original.

ugly/normal/weird-looking people in music
I feel like growing up every band or musician besides super huge pop stars was just normal looking. Not weird in a cool way and not perfectly curated. Just actually weird or actually normal. I miss that. Everyone is too hot now. To quote Silver Jews,
"What's with all the handsome grandsons In these rock band magazines? What have they done with the fat ones? The bald and the goateed?"
We need more normals in music.
