can't think in terms of diff art mediums rn but i have this idea of ātwin songsā, ie songs that just belong together in my mind for whatever reason? like phases by blaize jenkins and you are mine by mutemath. i know you by faye webster and smoke signals by phoebe bridgers. to wish impossible things by the cure and when the sun hits by slowdive. lovers rock by tv girl & in the city by chromatics. it's endless tbh but fun to think about

reading, writing and arithmetic is one of my favorite albums so itās a high iāve been chasing for years. i feel like itās very hard to replicate 1:1 but hereās some things that personally evoke similar feelings.
the cardigans 1994 album emmerdale - sweet vocals + running through fields vibes for sure
faye wongās ECO PACK-ēč²-ęµ®čŗ- light hearted basslines and playful melodies
alice phoebe lou- any of her work, really. not an exact match sonically, but thereās a similar sense of whimsy in her voice and lyricism.
this song by hey cowboy!
tiger trapās 1993 self titled- a similar sense of atmospheric cheekiness, but faster in a lot of parts with much fuzzier guitars.
