The ai control room in “alien” (1979)

This movie rocks. I just recently saw it for the first time and I keep thinking about the beautiful control room. I’m a little claustrophobic and a bit of a luddite but this room seduces me anyway. The set design is in the whole film is great. The fx are insane. * I watched this almost back-to-back with Eraserhead for an accidental body horror double feature

i just saw it recently as well and wow it was beautiful! i also loved how the alien was so unserious and was just taking a nap at the end when she found it???? it just got all cozy in there and wanted to sleep

PHAse IV (1974)

Saul Bass made exactly one movie, and with his one shot he proceeded to make an insanely psychedelic science fiction thriller about ants in the Southwestern US developing a cross-species hive mind after an unspecified cosmic event.
Someone described this as "the 2001: A Space Odyssey of Ant Movies" and I think that description is apt
