I finished all three seasons of The Deuce and I really loved it! HBO show about New York between the 70s-80s based around the porn industry and sex workers. Don’t let James Franco put you off, he’s by far the least interesting thing about it. Maggie Gyllenhaal shines, as do all the women in it tbh. It depicts sex workers with a grace and humanity that TV so rarely allows them, and shows the bad and the good that sex work brought them. Very much society = bad, not sex workers/sex work in itself.
